WE’RE GETTING USED TO THIS EVENTS BUSINESS
From shooting the Monaco Grand Prix to creating engaging social media campaigns the Hashtag team have had a busy past few months. With that being said, we thought it’d be great to share one of our latest (and certainly one of our most enjoyable) projects we’ve been working on, the Saffron Walden Round Table’s ‘8 Day Weekend’ Carnival and also give an insight into how we handle filming venues for our events clients.
WORKING CLOSELY WITH CLIENTS IS WHAT WE LOVE DOING MOST
At Hashtag we thrive working with ethically minded businesses and community initiatives. So when Saffron Walden Round Table approached us to cover their 8 Day Weekend festival we jumped at the opportunity to showcase the incredible variety of acts over 9 evenings. The event held every three years see thousands of ticket holders from all over Essex and the UK visit Saffron Walden for an 8-day celebration of music, comedy, dance and local performances. The event saw renowned musical acts such as B*witched, Chesney Hawkes, Sonia, The Wurzels, Toploader, LCGC, Majestic and many more.
We were given the brief to create a highlight film of the 9 nights showcasing the event’s diversity and scale and create a library footage to use for future events. Over the 9 days the team, were hands on location covering every angle from front of house to backstage with our in-house equipment. The team may of even had a cheeky sing & a dance along the way. Working alongside the round table and a group of local volunteers the event was a huge success and knowing all profits raised from the event will go to local charities and individuals needing support made us even prouder to be a part of it!
Our experienced production team were able to capture every angle of the event to help ensure the event was showcased in the best way possible. Utilising our large in-house media server, we will also be able to retain all media from the event to create promotional material when the event comes back around in 2025, we will certainly jump at the chance to work with the SWRT again, ticking every box for the kind of clients we love to work with!
